Wai
WAI, a town in Satara district, Bombay, ou the Kistna river. Pop. (IOPI) 13,989. It is a place of Hindu pilgrimage, with a large Brahman population, the river being lined with temples and bathing ghats. In the neighbourhood are Buddhist caves.
