Squaw
SQUAW, the anglicized word for woman among the North American Indians; the Massachusetts Indian form is squa or schqua, the Narraganset squawo, the Cree eskwuo, Delaware ochqueu, khqueu, etc. It is also used in composition with names of animals to denote the female.
