Philip Iii Of Macedonia
PHILIP III OF MACEDONIA. [ARRHIDAEUS], king of Macedonia, was the feeble-minded son of Phiiip II. of Macedonia by a Thessalian wife. He was chosen by the Macedonian army at Babylon in 323 to be nominal king conjointly with the infant Alexander, and was killed in Macedonia by order of Olympias (317).
