Molique, Wilhelm Bernhardt
MOLIQUE, WILHELM BERNHARDT (1802 1869), German violinist and composer, was born at Nuremberg on the 7th of October, 1802, and learnt the violin at Munich under Pietro Rovelli. In 1826 he became music-director at Stuttgart. As a composer for the violin Molique was commonly compared with Spohr. He also wrote some charming songs. He died at Cannstadt in 1869.
